GENERAL RULES FOR CONDUCT AND DISCIPLINE
• School discipline is intended to create an environment, which assists the self development of students. Enrolment in this school implies on the part of the pupil and parents a willingness to comply with the requirements and regulations of the school.
• Whenever you write to school about your ward, always quote his/her full name class, section and admission number.
• Should there be any infectious diseases in your house, please report the same to the school authorities. It is preferable not to send your ward to the school till the infectious period is over.
• As the medium of instruction in this school is English, students should be helped to follow their work easily and intelligently by a certain amount of regular reading and conversation in English at home.
• An amount of Rs 300/- (Rupees Three Hundred only) will be deposit within 07th of every month without late fee as School Development Fee as per order no. AVS/SDF/2022/01/315. From 8th of every month a late fee of Rs 5 (Rupees Five) per day will be applicable.
• Due to quality & discipline of the School, a lump sum amount will be collected on behalf of School ID card, School Almanac (Diary), Report card, Annual School Meet and different schools activity.
• Students travelling for the purpose of educational tours/excursions/workshops/sporting events/must necessarily have to bear all the expenses incurred as part of charges.
• Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, disobedience or conduct injurious to the tone of the school is sufficient reason for the dismissal of a pupil. Pupils are answerable to the school authorities for their moral tone and conduct even outside the school.
• The Principal has the right to suspend attendance or require the withdrawal of any pupil without having to assign any reasons; provided that he is satisfied that such a step is necessary in the interest of the school.
• Parents/guardians are advised not to be involved in physical or mental abuse of any fellow classmate/friend of their ward for any reason whatsoever. However, complaint may be lodged with the competent authority to resolve the matter.
• Pupils are permitted to wear a simple and decent dress on their birthdays and only sweets to be distributed. No collection of money or distribution of gifts will be permitted.
• Every pupil is expected to take part in all school activities. This regulation also applies when such activities take place out of the usual school hours.
• No pupil may leave the school premises without the permission of the Principal and required gate pass.
• Pupils who have been absent from class or who come to class late must have the reason entered in the regularity record stating briefly the cause of the absence or delay.
• A full mark for per subject is 100. A student must obtain a minimum of 40 marks in order to pass in each subject. There will be four Unit Tests, Term I Examination & Term II Examination for the final evaluation. A minimum of 40 % in the final evaluation is required for a student to qualify for promotion to the next class.
• Reports on general progress will be sent to parents during the year. These should be studied carefully and returned to the school authorities signed by a parent or a guardian. Promotions are granted on the basis of the whole years work. The decision of the school authorities with regards to promotion is FINAL.
• Parents and guardians are not allowed to see their children or interview teachers during school hours without the permission of the school authorities, as the members of the staff shall not leave the classrooms during the teaching period.
• Pupils are expected to behave in a courteous manner on all occasions. They should address their teachers’ and all the members of the staff with due respect and politeness. They should show gentleness and courtesy to their companions and co-students.
• Any change in the residential / business address and phone number must be intimated to the school in writing at the earliest.
• All students are expected to be in the school by 8:30 am. They will not be allowed to enter after 8:40am.
• No pupil will leave the school premises during school hours without the permission of the school authority.
• Pupils should submit their assignments and projects to the teachers in time and regularly.
• Pupils must not be absent from any tests / exams. No re-test will be conducted for an absentee.
• For security and safety reasons, private vehicles are strictly prohibited from entering the school premises.
• Parents/Guardians who fail to produce the ID card of the children will be denied entry as a matter of school norm. No, half days leave will be granted to children unless it is a case of emergency.
SCHOOL RULES
• All the students must speak in English in the school premises. English conversation at home too is encouraged.
• At the first bell all the students must fall in line for the assembly and after the assembly, move silently to their class rooms.
• Every student should strive to keep up the high standard of the School by excelling in studies, co-curricular activities, good conduct and maintaining a high moral character.
• No slogan writing or scribbling is permitted on the school uniform.
• Pupils are responsible for the safe custody of their books and belongings, which should be clearly marked with the child's name. Students are expected to take care of all school property. Any damage to school property must be repaired at the cost of the person responsible for the damage.
• All the students must be in their seats before the teacher enters the class. The students must not be seen walking around in the verandahs/corridors during the class hours without permission.
• Change of classrooms between periods should be done in silence and in an orderly manner.
• Students are not allowed to carry mobile phones or any other electronic gadgets, gold ornaments, cameras, electronic watches with alarm, transistors, and any objects liable to cause disturbance to the school campus. If found such objects will be confiscated by the School authorities.
• No books, invitations, periodicals, pictures, newspapers, or expensive items like pens, pencil boxes, water-bottles etc. shall be brought into the school or circulated among the students without the permission of the Principal.
• During recess there must be no student in the class rooms. All waste materials should be put in the dustbins provided for the purpose. Throwing stones or playing with hard ball is strictly forbidden.
• Personal hygiene to be maintained.
• No low waist pants should be permitted in campus.
• Bringing chewing gums, alcohol, tobacco items, drugs, soft drinks to the school is strictly prohibited.
• The pupils must develop the habits of punctuality and regularity.
• Care must be taken for all school property and no student should scratch or spoil the desks or chairs or damage things belonging to others. Damage done even by accident should be reported at once to the appropriate authority. Anyone who sees something damaged should report the matter even if he/she does not know who has done it. Each class will be responsible for looking after all class property.
• After the School hours all students are expected to go home. They are not allowed to go to their friend's house for parties etc. from the school.
• A friendly attitude is to be maintained with classmates. Strict disciplinary action, such as suspension, may be taken against any pupil who fights with other pupils and causes injury to them.
• No student shall indulge in any of the following practices:
a. Spitting in or near the school premises.
b. Rowdy and rude behaviour
c. Resorting to violence in any form.
d. Bursting crackers, throwing colours or painting faces within or near the school premises or in the school bus.
e. Bunking of classes.
SCHOOL UNIFORM
It is mandatory for all students to wear school uniform. All students must be in full and proper uniform. We ask for parental support in achieving the best possible standards for all our students.
